Production / Quality Lead

Loves Park, IL


Work under the supervision and direction of the Quality Assurance Manager to provide oversight of and inspections on general production work. Maintains quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results. Visually compares work pieces against one another to assess/detect manufacturing variations in processes. Assists and/or trains productionists or rehabilitation staff on part acceptability, measurement and process procedures as required. Reports quality problems or findings to Quality Assurance Manager and follows up to ensure that corrective actions has/will take place. Maintains record of inspections and prepares list of defects, interacts with other departments to ensure compliance with specification and to facilitate the acceptance of parts. Ensures DOL regulations are in compliance. Tracks and conducts time studies. Audits work instructions and implements approved changes if needed. Creates and edits visual aids to accompany production jobs on the floor.


High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Requirements

Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, have good social and assessment skills, ability and willingness to work flexible hours, have the ability to work independently and interact professionally within the public domain. Must possess basic computer skills. Must maintain valid driver's license and fork truck license and be insurable with agency insurance carrier.


Full Time / Part Time - Hourly
