Hiring/Stay-on Bonus

Bridgeway is excited to announce a hiring/stay-on bonus for individuals successfully hired as a Community Living Coach in Galesburg or Kewanee, Illinois. This rewarding position provides residential and community support services to individuals with serious mental illness residing in Bridgeway Residential Facilities in Kewanee or Galesburg.

To be a successful hire, the individual must:

  • Be selected for hire after the interview process
  • Have a good work history
  • Pass the criminal background check
  • Have a good driving record and be insurable
  • Have a high school diploma
  • Must be 21 years of age

How the hiring/stay-on bonus works:

  • $100 sign-on bonus paid on the first pay check
  • $200 at 3 months of employment, with a positive evaluation
  • $200 at 6 months of employment, with a positive evaluation

Referral Bonus

Current Bridgeway employee who refers an individual who is successfully hired as a Community Living Coach in Kewanee or Galesburg will receive a one-time $100 referral bonus.

Under the supervision of the Residential Coordinator, provides residential support services and psychosocial rehabilitation services to consumers with serious mental illness residing in Bridgeway Residential Facilities. Implements selected aspects of the Consumer Centered Plans with a focus on skills training in the areas of basic survival and daily independent living skills and assists in the provision of other case management support service for residents. Develops a respectful, helping and supportive relationship with each consumer to promote recovery and reintegration into the mainstream of community living.


Minimum of high school diploma/GED. Experience in the Human Service Field desirable. Must be 21 years old.


Must have good communication and writing skills, social and assessment skills, and good decision making skills. Must be able to work as a team member and have a commitment to work with persons with serious mental illness demonstrating a belief in the principles of recovery and empowerment for persons with serious mental illness. Dependability with willingness and ability to work non-standard, flexible hours and respond in an on call emergency situation where back-up staffing is needed critically. Basic computer navigation and word processing skills essential.

Other Requirements

Must attend Blood Borne Pathogens and OIG training within first 10 working days of hire and annually thereafter; must obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification after hired. Must have reliable transportation, valid drivers license and proof of insurance.


$9.50 to $11.40
