Work Center Supervisor

Macomb, IL

Duties

  • Responsible for coordinating all facets of production for assigned contracts
  • In conjunction with the work center manager, schedule shipping and receiving for assigned contracts and coordinate check-in of customer’s goods
  • Act as a source of information and direction to the Rehabilitation Trainers in all direct production activities and provide input for performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate picking of the necessary materials for jobs, direct and assist Rehab Trainers, Productionists, and Material Handlers in the set-up of jobs.
  • Work with Quality Assurance Supervisor to assure proper procedures are followed and quality standards are met.
  • Supervise production staff as directed.
  • Perform time studies and give input for quotes. Determine the most effective and efficient way to perform operations.
  • Perform inventory and report shortages to Work Center Manager.
  • Ensure finished product is brought to the shipping area on a daily basis and coordinate delivery with Quality Assurance Supervisor. Communicate with the customer concerning any discrepancies.


Education

HS Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred; Supervisory experience required; 1-3 years related experience and/or training preferred; Fork Lift experience preferred


Skills

Must be able to communicate respectfully and effectively in both oral and written forms; must have good social and assessment skills; must have the ability to work independently and interact appropriately within the public domain.

$14-16.80 / hour
